The Pre-Apprentice Plumbing program is offered in partnership with Dunwoody College of Technology. The first 10 weeks of training take place at Summit where students learn the basics of construction, including safety, hand and power tools, and blue print reading. The final 10 weeks of training take place at Dunwoody where students learn pipefitting, how to install a sink and toilet, and the specific skills of the plumbing trade through hands-on projects. The course ends with two weeks of on-the-job training with working plumbers.
