Louis King
Louis King II is dedicated to creating better communities by providing educational opportunities to students through programs that emphasize self-sufficiency, responsibility and accountability as well as leadership training.
Mr. King served on the Minneapolis School Board from 1996 to 2000. He is currently on the Fairview Medical Foundation Advisory Board and the St. Thomas Academy Board and chairs the Seed Academy Board of Directors and the Network for Better Futures Board of Directors. Mr. King has participated in two White House Conferences on Children and Families and works as a consultant in the area of non-profit management systems development.
He has held leadership positions in several community organizations, such as the Bryant Neighborhood Organization and the Glenwood-Lyndale Community Center, where he was President of their respective boards. Mr. King served in the U.S. Army for 10 years, achieving the rank of Major. He is a graduate of Morehouse College in Georgia.
