Louis King
President & CEO


Louis King II is dedicated to creating better communities by providing educational opportunities to students through programs that emphasize self-sufficiency, responsibility and accountability as well as leadership training.

Mr. King served on the Minneapolis School Board from 1996 to 2000. He is currently on the Fairview Medical Foundation Advisory Board and the St. Thomas Academy Board and chairs the Seed Academy Board of Directors and the Network for Better Futures Board of Directors. Mr. King has participated in two White House Conferences on Children and Families and works as a consultant in the area of non-profit management systems development.

He has held leadership positions in several community organizations, such as the Bryant Neighborhood Organization and the Glenwood-Lyndale Community Center, where he was President of their respective boards. Mr. King served in the U.S. Army for 10 years, achieving the rank of Major. He is a graduate of Morehouse College in Georgia.

Leroy West
Vice President & CAO


Mr. West joined Summit as chief administrative officer and vice president in December 2003.
He previously spent 10 years at the YMCA as program coordinator, program director, program executive and finally branch executive for the East YMCA in East Saint Paul. Under his leadership, the East YMCA grew from fewer than 300 members to over 3,000. Mr. West graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato with a Bachelor of Science degree.

Marc Carrier
CFO


Mr. Carrier joined Summit as Chief Financial Officer in January 2005. His strong organizational skills, accounting discipline and strategic planning experience have been an asset to the organization. Much of Mr. Carrier's experience is in the wireless telecommunications industry, where he served as controller, treasurer, CFO and regional vice president. He has also held the position of branch manager of a mid-sized financial services company, overseeing call center operations, client relationships and financial performance. Mr. Carrier has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Husson College in Bangor, Maine.
