Summit provides access to construction trades training at both Summit and Dunwoody College of Technology. The program aims to place 100 women and people of color in construction trades jobs that pay a living wage. Students begin with 10 weeks, or 300 hours, of construction training at Summit Academy OIC, with journeyman level instructors.
Upon completion of the initial 10 weeks, students pursuing the Plumbing/Electrician tracks will complete 10 weeks, or 300 hours of specialized Plumbing/Electrician training at Dunwoody College of Technology. Those pursing the Construction track will remain at Summit Academy OIC for 10 additional weeks of specialized training.
