The Pre-Apprentice Electrician program is offered in cooperation with Dunwoody College of Technology. The first 10 weeks of training take place at SAOIC, learning the basics of construction, including safety, hand and power tools and blue print reading. The remaining 10 weeks of training take place at Dunwoody learning the specific skills of the electricain trade, through hands-on projects. The course ends with two weeks of on-the-job training with an electrician contractor.
