Heavy Equipment Operator

Summit Academy’s construction program is designed to provide students with job readiness skills in the construction trade through classroom and hands-on training completed during two 10-week phases: Phase I (core competency construction skills) and Phase II (hands-on specialty training). Training is administered by Journey-level construction instructors with more than 100 years of combined experience in the field.

Upon completion of the training program, students will have gained marketable job readiness skills, and are ready to begin a career in the residential and commercial construction industry. Summit also helps students learn how to enter a trade union which makes workers eligible for additional wages, education and other employment benefits.
