Network Operations Center Technician (NOC)

Network Operations Center Technicians (NOC)  are in charge of monitoring critical network elements and engaging in proactive network systems monitoring. Troubleshooting is a daily task for a network operations center technician, and they also monitor the software, network, and signal strength from satellites.

Essential Duties

  • Review new hardware and software programs and give feedback
  • Create new ways to complete tasks, correct user errors and system inconsistencies 
  • Install and support PC, laptop, tablet and mobile hardware and software
  • Write procedures, standards, and best practices guidelines for settings, installation sequences, and back-out instructions
  • Configure, deploy, maintain, troubleshoot and support computer workstations, laptops, printers, mobile devices, phones and other computer and telecommunications equipment

Course Information

This program is designed for students that have an aptitude for math, basic computer literacy, a high standard of customer service, but they do not need a previous IT background.

Background Check

The IT industry has criminal background restrictions. Any felony conviction is a disqualification for employment. Summit Academy will screen potential students prior to enrollment.
